Numbers

Is it all about numbers (like Kraftwerk once sang)? Of course not—but some cool facts might catch your attention:

My collection includes over 7,000 records, mostly vinyl with a handful of promo CDs thrown in, and my wishlist still contains another 4,000+ potential gems. Curious about standout years? I’ve got the first issues from 1983–1984 (think R&B, Dance, Funk/Soul, Clubplay, and the iconic (New) Wave scene) and from 1993–1996, prime years for Deep House.

Artists I’m especially passionate about include Prince and his extended musical family (360+ records!), Madonna (170+, with around 50 available for sale), Depeche Mode (150+), Kraftwerk (130+), Pet Shop Boys (120+), and Michael Jackson (100+).

In terms of styles, my collection is packed with dancefloor gold: R&B Clubplay (800+), Techno (700+), R&B Dance Funk (600+), House Deep (600+), House Clubplay (700+), and Disco (400+). (Note: Double LPs and 12" singles count double, and many records span multiple styles, so there's some overlap.)

Remember, like many dedicated collectors and retro DJs, I'm always hunting for classics retrospectively—not just picking up new releases. My musical taste was shaped in the glory days of my youth, and many of my records have a timeless quality that still rocks dancefloors today and undoubtedly will for years to come.
